Weatherly Inn is looking for the right candidate to fill a Full Time position as a Maintenance Assistant in our beautiful community. The right individual is dependable, flexible, conscientious, teachable, a team player and must have a clean background. Experience working with/around the senior population is a plus. QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: GED or High School Graduation preferred.
- Experience: 1 year experience with working knowledge of all facility equipment, machines, fire systems, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and landscaping preferred.
- Licenses: Wa. State Driver License and no driving infractions for past 3 years.
- Proficient in use of power tools and internal building system repair and maintenance.
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn to know special needs of residents and report changes in behavior (physical or emotional) to nursing.
- Be familiar with and follow Employee Handbook, Performance Expectations and specific job duties.
- Able to receive/return routine phone calls from TWI within 24 hours; urgent within 4.
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to maintenance or supervisor.
- Report immediately any on the job injury to supervisor or charge nurse.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Available for scheduled on-call duties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working knowledge of all systems, including electrical, air conditioning, fire safety, water and sewage, plumbing, electrical and emergency.
- Complete and document work orders and scheduled work as instructed, reporting any problems to supervisor.
- Pick up and dispose of garden debris in approved manner, keeping the grounds looking great at all times.
- Power wash structures and walkways.
- Assist and learn to back up maintenance director.
