Fleet Technician
WeatherTech is seeking a well-qualified Fleet Technician to perform light mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on company vehicles.

As a Fleet Technician, you will
- Perform required inspections and preventative maintenance, such as tire changes, tire rotations, tune-ups, fluid level checks, and other services on company owned vehicles
- Perform minor automotive repairs including but not limited to electrical issues, wiper blade replaces, light bulbs, and interior repairs
- Conduct minor diesel truck and trailer repairs including but not limited to filter replacements, fifth wheel repairs, air line repairs/replacement, and trailer repairs
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to conduct repairs or replacements such as hydraulic lift systems, air tools, lathe tools, hand wrenches, etc.
- Assist the vehicle detailer with washing company vehicles and transporting vehicles to the dealership
- Maintain part inventory from any maintenance and repairs performed; contact vendors for locating and ordering parts
- Maintain vehicle records and track performed services and repairs
- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives
- Request PO’s when required
- Perform all job functions in compliance with safety guidelines and company policies/procedures
- Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, clean and maintain equipment/tools
- Communicate clearly and work as part of a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates will
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have at least two years of experience with automotive diagnostics including drive units, internal combustion engines, and steering systems
- Possess knowledge of electronic control code and troubleshooting required
- Be familiar with diagnosing and making repairs on a variety of vehicles including transit vehicles and diesel tractor/trailers
- Be familiar with automotive technical/mechanical hand tools
- Possess basic math, reading/comprehension, writing, and computer skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to work independently, handle strict deadlines and multi-task
- Be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license to operate applicable company vehicles
- Have an acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with company regulations
- Be authorized to work in the United States
