We are a family-owned family of businesses located on Massachusetts' South Shore. We are looking to hire an employee for Golf Course Groundskeeper and Crew Member.
Summary:
The Weathervane Golf Course is looking for a motivated individual with experience in seasonal turn-ons, daily irrigation maintenance on our houses and golf course, and other golf maintenance.
Essential Functions:

· · Involved in the day-to-day landscape and irrigation operations at the Villages at Weathervane and Weathervane Golf Course
· Operates vehicles, equipment, tools and machinery used in the maintenance and repair of the golf course grounds.
· Involved in seasonal snow and leaf removal.
· Operates various department equipment including but not limited to mowers, golf carts, and truck
· Repairs and replaces damaged pipes and heads on sprinkler systems, provides assistance to the irrigation technician as needed.
· Must observe and adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures, including OSHA requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience
· One (1) year of experience in grounds maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
· Irrigation experience preferred to take care of the day-to-day irrigation duties; general training provided on repairs and replacing irrigation heads and pipes.
Job Environment:
Outdoor work during adverse weather conditions and troublesome road conditions and at times during the evening, is required. Work is primarily performed outdoors under conditions involving frequent exposure to machine or related noise or a combination of unpleasant elements such as dirt, heat, cold, lawn chemicals, or grease etc. Work may involve occasional work at heights or in confined or cramped quarters, or work around machinery and its moving parts. Work may also involve completing several unrelated tasks within a relatively short period of time.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work requires moderate intermittent physical strength and effort daily, such as, lifting heavy objects, carrying the object(s) and stacking them or placing them in a vehicle or storage area; frequently lifts up to 60 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. In addition, pulling, pushing, standing or walking for the full work day may also be involved; twist, kneel, crouch, stretch, and reach to retrieve materials or equipment. Usually, the work will require extended physical effort over a significant portion of the work day. Duties may involve assignments requiring application of hand and eye coordination with finger dexterity and motor coordination in order to safely operate hand and power tools, department equipment including but not limited to pesticide applicators, lawn mowing, and/or department maintenance equipment. Visual demands require the employee to routinely read documents and equipment instruction materials for general understanding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
