JOB SUMMARY
This position plans for and provides appropriate learning experiences, interventions and educational opportunities for each student assigned to the classroom. Learning should be designed to bring students to grade level mastery of the Georgia Standards of Excellence as quickly as possible.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develops data-driven, research-based interventions in an engaging and interactive manner to support student progress.
- Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to intervention strategies.
- Demonstrates mastery of intervention techniques and understanding of student needs within the school curriculum.
- Designs comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the diverse needs of students requiring intervention, including providing small group and individualized instruction.
- Plans and executes developmentally appropriate interactive learning experiences focused on addressing specific learning gaps.
- Maintains regular communication with parents to provide updates on student progress and collaboratively develop strategies for continued growth.
- Establishes and enforces standards of student behavior to cultivate an effective learning environment conducive to intervention activities.
- Utilizes various assessment techniques to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
- Identifies student needs, develops individualized education plans, implements Tier II/III interventions as necessary, and refers students to appropriate support services within the school's intervention model.
- Offers educational support to students and parents outside of regular instructional hours to reinforce intervention strategies.
- Participates in professional development opportunities focused on intervention strategies and best practices.
- Administers assessments to measure student achievement of learning objectives and tracks progress towards identified intervention goals.
- Maintains prompt, regular in-person attendance and availability during school business hours.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by school administration to support the overall intervention program.
Virtual Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders in the Virtual Platform in written and oral form, including electronic media, using positive interpersonal skills
- Uses a variety of programs and software applications, as appropriate, to complete instructional and administrative tasks
- Participate in professional learning to enhance ability to provide engaging online instruction a. Participate in required Professional Learning that leads to virtual teaching endorsement
- Clearly articulates deadlines, schedules, and procedures to students and parents to ensure that students complete coursework in a timely manner
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university required. Experience in providing individual and small group instruction preferred.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC.
- Meets Georgia state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
- Certification in Reading, Math, or applicable content area preferred.
Salary : $44,981 - $89,492
