Description : Spotter Driver
As a Spotter Driver, you will play a crucial role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and equipment within a designated area. Your primary responsibility will be to maneuver vehicles and trailers within a facility or worksite, guiding drivers and ensuring that all movements are conducted accurately and safely. The purpose of the Shipping / Receiving Spotter Driver and Support Associate is to transport trailers, removing from or backing them into dock doors as instructed for loading or unloading, and assist the department as needed with other tasks when not driving.
Please note, this is a night shift position
Responsibilities :
Abide by all safety policies and encourage an atmosphere of safety
Adhere to Quality Policies with attention to detail
Receive and maintain clear and respectful communication with persons over the radio
Report property damage immediately as it occurs or is discovered
Maintain an accurate log of moves made and time of moves
Complete all trailer moves in a timely fashion
Assist outside carriers onsite as instructed
Assist shuttle drivers onsite as needed
Work Perfomed :
Placement of trailers in dock doors according to instruction
Removal of trailers from dock doors and placement onto proper lot locations
Application of seals to loaded trailers with verification of seal and paperwork
Collection, transport, and placement of paperwork for loads in a timely and responsible manner
Assistance with lot inventory or trailer identification / location as requested by Ship / Recv personnel
Forklift duties as assigned
Cleaning and sanitation inside and outside of the buildings as assigned
Any other tasks assigned by the department leader or manager
Requirements : Required :
High School Diploma
CDL License
Preferred :
1-3 years of relevant experience
Physical ability to climb in and out of vehicles, walk or stand for extended periods, and lift or move heavy objects as necessary.
