About The Role
- Reporting to the Designer Manager and actively participating in the Dev teams, the UX/UI Designer contributes to developing and implementing effective user journeys for WHC clients and its staff.
- The UX/UI Designer is a seasoned visual designer with extensive experience creating effective and accessible user interfaces for online apps and systems. S/he has a solid understanding of the online needs of Canadian small businesses and knows how to craft products, interfaces and communications that meet their needs.
- Help improve WHC’s visual branding and identity; participate in design initiatives
- Craft effective user journeys for our clients
- Design effective, data-driven user interfaces
- Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space
- Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions
- Coordinate with the Dev & Marketing teams on issues like navigation, page routing, product page design and more
- Track usability goals and prepare reports for senior management
- Develop mockups for our development and design teams
- Conduct usability tests on website pages and create reports showcasing your findings
- 5 years of UX/UI design experience, crafting effective user journeys
- 5 years of experience with visual design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
- Strong prototyping skills
- Proficient in English and/or French
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery an asset
- Basic proficiency with PHP web development an asset
- Solid understanding of the web hosting and domains industries an asset
