What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager position at Web Industries Inc?
Position Purpose:
Provide leadership for strategic projects having impact on Web Industries’ goals for growth and profitability. Web Industries is growing at a rapid pace and that requires project-by-project focus. That focus is not available when projects are added to someone’s existing responsibilities.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all aspects of strategic projects including, but not limited to developing project plans, timelines and resource plans.
• Monitor project tasks and critical paths to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Ensure project teams act in the best interest of the Big W
• Develop decision criteria and manage through the tasks of decision analysis.
• Lead project communication efforts so all stakeholders are up to date.
• Mentor others within Web Industries to increase project management bandwidth and effectiveness.
• Champion Web culture and values.
• Support Operations in any way required.
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree at minimum
• Advanced degree preferred
Experience/Skills Requirements:
• 10 years Operations experience
• 2 years Project Management experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to manage time and be efficient and effective
• Possess P&L /Income statement knowledge and acuity
• Ability to influence others not directly reporting to them
Certifications or Licensures:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Able to handle 50% travel
- Must feel comfortable in a corporate and plant environment
- Physical requirements include frequent reaching, sitting for extended periods without freedom to leave worksite, working with fingers, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This is an individual contributor position. Success in this position is determined by one’s ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
