Job Description : Supervisor : Foreman
Job Description : Manage and assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Usually an entry level supervisor position.
Essential functions and responsibilities :
- Manage field crew in day-to-day production of projects
- Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Order tools and equipment
- Interpret blueprints / plans and construct accordingly
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge / skill
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the supervisor and / or Human Resources
Requirements :
Safety Policies and Practices : The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.
Education : less than High School Diploma.
Language Skills :
Experience : Minimum 0-3 years of related construction experience preferred.
Physical Activity Level : Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive / technical nature.
Manual Dexterity : Manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items and work with the fingers. Able to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Working Conditions : Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.).
