Inspiring Career Opportunity The Service Manager leads all service repair operations including customer relations, P&L budgeting for the equipment repair shop, training of all service employees, overseeing the service technicians’ work area, prioritization of work orders, and ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed. Emphasis on the scheduling and allocation of equipment repairs, personnel resources, assess equipment repair needs and requests, and also develop and provide optimized and low-cost solutions.
Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
- Allocate existing equipment across multiple projects and regions and manage the scheduling and allocation of all equipment repairs
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all local, state and national statutes and guidelines regarding equipment licensing, certifications, and DOT Compliance
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time effective manner
- Coordinate with and optimize existing equipment management plan, including but not limited to service intervals, inspections, certifications, and safety bulletins associated with each specific category of highway equipment and heavy equipment
- Coordinate with Project and Area Managers on a company wide basis as to the availability and or needs on all repairs
- Dispatch and Coordinate the technicians on each project site
- Prepare, negotiate and finalize workorders, timesheets and purchase orders, and invoices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
- Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience, with 5 years of experience in Equipment and/or Services
- Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred but not required
- Experience with Procurement materials and parts
- Moderate to high level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word
- Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
- Full understanding of Construction Math concept
- Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature. Some exposure to outdoors with changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind. Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
