Position Responsibilities

Will apply Webco’s 16 principals daily. Will learn all aspects of Carbon Raw Material Planning and will provide back up as needed. Will be knowledgeable of various modes of transportation and associated transit times. Will manage inbound raw material freight rates. Will be knowledgeable of raw material receiving methods, EDI and manual. Will be knowledgeable of supplier capabilities. Will be responsible for creating and revising purchase orders. Will create slit orders for primary and/or backup purposes. Will utilize various Outlook, Excel and SAP applications. Will participate in the execution of strategic raw material purchasing decisions. Will establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.

Required Education and Skills

Webco manufacturing experience is valued, but not mandatory. Proficient skills in MS Office, MS Excel and SAP. Enhanced knowledge and skills through post high school education are valued, but not mandatory. Must possess integrity, respect and value for individual team member’s talents, skills, and qualities. Must be able to work independently, as well as in team environment.

Key Success Factors

In-depth knowledge of our organization’s structure, core values and beliefs. Stay abreast of new developments in Excel reporting, SAP reporting, modes of transportation and supplier parameters. Establish strong working relationships with team members from several departments, including PP&C, Operations, Quality, Safety, Accounting and Sales. Establish strong working relationships with suppliers. Discipline and integrity to work independently to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly responsibilities.

Typical Physical Demands :

Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis. May occasionally be required to work additional hours. Requires prolonged periods of sitting. Requires vision and hearing to normal range. Requires prolonged periods of computer usage. Utilizes a variety of hand positions to repetitively manipulate keyboard and mouse. Job has the potential of being fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.

Typical Working Conditions :

Primarily works in an indoor office environment at our PA Carbon Warehouse. This environment is typically temperature controlled, clean, with normal air contaminants (such as dust) typically found in an office environment.
