Job Overview: Operate machines like overhead cranes (6-ton and 10-ton) and forklifts. Load/unload materials, bend tubing, and ensure top-notch quality for shipped tubes.
Physical Requirements:
Full-body workout: Constant lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Crane slings: Maneuver in tight spots to hook crane slings over tubing bales.
Work Environment:
On your feet: Walk or stand on concrete floors for 10-hour shifts in steel-toed shoes, covering up to a mile.
Vision and hearing: Normal range required.
Hand skills: Use various hand positions to control equipment and maneuver tubes.
Fast-paced: Handle stress like a pro!
Tube stacks: Climb up to 6 feet high to secure crane slings and move tubing bales.
Heavy lifting: Lift objects (5-50 lbs, average 34-37 lbs) from various positions, including stacking tubing up to 6 feet high.
Banding equipment: Wrap and secure metal bands around tube bundles using tensioners and crimpers.
Utilizes a variety of hand positions to work equipment controls and maneuver tubes throughout manufacturing process.
Most jobs are fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
