Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Salvage Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our salvage yard, focusing on the recovery and recycling of materials. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely and effectively.
Duties
- Prepare Vehicles for end of life
- Must be Familiar with a tire machines.
- Mount and Dismount tires
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and cranes to load and unload materials.
- Perform order picking tasks to retrieve items from inventory for processing or shipping.
- Sort and categorize salvaged materials for recycling or disposal.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
