Weber Basin Water Conservancy District is Northern Utah’s Regional Water Supplier for: treated municipal water, wholesale irrigation water, retail secondary irrigation water, untreated industrial water and groundwater replacement water. We proudly serve the water needs of our customers in Davis, Weber, Summit, Morgan and Box Elder counties.
We are seeking qualified applicants to fill up to six full-time Temporary & Seasonal Conservation Programs positions. The season typically begins in April and ends in September but there is room for flexibility to work with school schedules. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Occasional Saturday work may be required. This position includes up to four paid holidays during the season.

Job Summary: This position performs a variety of office and field work. The work could vary and could include several functions and activities within the conservation programs of the District. Much of the work is performed outdoors with some data related work indoors on a computer or handheld device. This position will interact with homeowners and landscape maintenance personnel, input data into application software, and assist with community events, garden fairs, and landscape classes as needed.
Job Requirements: The candidate must have the following abilities:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record per District policy.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Be confident in speaking to the public in what could be confrontational situations. Able to share information with the public in an enthusiastic manner to promote awareness and result in a behavior change.
- Be able to use handheld devices such as tablets and phones to use aps developed for this program.
- Be able to work outdoors in full sun for extended periods.
- Be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Be able to use personal computer with a basic understanding of word processing and basic spreadsheet data entry.
- Be able to work with others in cooperation or alone.
