JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the close supervision of the County Assessor or designated administrator, perform various para-professional and technical work in collecting data on real property parcels in Weber County.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Field Inspection: Review properties throughout Weber County, inspect improvements, and collect pertinent property information. Take photos of all improvements on the property and upload them to the office data storage system.
Data Collection: Organize property data and complete the data collection on the real property computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) collection sheets. Research history building cards, questionnaires, aerial photography, and Wasatch Front Regional Multiple listings for any additional data that is missing or required.
Data Entry/Quality Assurance: Complete clerical work into the CAMA system, ensuring the data's accuracy meets office standards. Verify that clerical work meets the office quality standards. Correct information in the database that conflicts with the data gathered via an inspection.
Auditing/Training: Assist co-workers in evaluating new staff on data collection, data entry, and field inspection processes. Audit work as assigned and ensure adherence to current policies and procedures. Communicate with supervisor on results.
Questionnaire (blue cards): Print, modify, and interpret questionnaires when necessary. Must be able to understand and accurately interpret the customer’s home description.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Some CAD experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):
Knowledge: Awareness of methods for identifying errors, inconsistencies, and missing information. Knowledge of organizational workflows to understand how verified data impacts operations and decision-making. Understanding of how data is stored, retrieved, and structured.
Skills: High level of accuracy in identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies within datasets. Ability to spot errors quickly and efficiently. Ability to troubleshoot data inconsistencies and recommend corrective actions. Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating reports and documentation.
Abilities: Ability to follow systematic processes for verifying data against established criteria. Ability to handle sensitive data securely and maintain confidentiality. Ability to identify inefficiencies in verification workflows and recommend improvements. Ability to perform repetitive verification tasks with a high degree of consistency and focus.
YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one, a good driving record, and at least the minimum level of auto insurance as required by Utah law.
Must communicate effectively; bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
