Weber General Engineering, Inc is currently seeking an Estimator/Project Manager.
Brief Job Overview:
The Estimator PM - is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing construction projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepares construction budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation.
- Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements.
- Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors and negotiating price.
- Maintains cost keys and price master's by updating information.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge: reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Attend all appropriate company meetings
- Coordinate and provide clear and concise direction to lead foreman, crews and subcontractors.
- Evaluate the contractual scope of work. Review the project in-depth.
- Build external relationships that promote project success with General Contractors
Qualifications
- Must have at least 3 years of experience as estimator or project manager in the construction industry.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Strong computer knowledge in ProContractor, Vista, Excel, Word.
- Ability to work under pressure, forward thinking, takes initiative and makes sound decisions.
- Must be a fast learner with strong communication skills.
