A position has been declared open in the Weber School District in Transportation for an Office Aide (Receptionist, as well as substitute Bus Aide, as needed). This position is for 4.00 hours per day, 180 days (9 months) per year.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Office Aide/Receptionist assists the other team players in maintaining appropriate office activities. Serves visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone. Notifies other team members of visitor arrival; maintains personnel listings. The hiree will also serve as a backup Bus Aide and serve in this capacity on an as-needed basis.
DESIRABLE:
- Previous experience in a public school setting.
- Ability to operate office machines, perform routine record-keeping functions, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, teachers, students, and the public.
- Able to assist on the Special Needs bus if the need arises.
- Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY:
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks.
- Ability to learn the special needs of particular individuals.
- Ability to communicate.
- Ability to meet and interact with Administrators, teachers, parents, and students with tact, courtesy, and discretion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operate various types of office equipment such as copy machines, personal computers, etc. STRONG COMPUTER AND PHONE SKILLS ARE DESIRED.
- Conform to District policy regarding attendance and absences. Employee attendance must be adequate to perform the above-listed essential job functions.
- Computer skills, such as Google, Google Sheets, and Excel, are desired.
