Director, Data Engineer

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Data Engineer with 5 years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and processing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and have extensive experience developing sophisticated data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Kubernetes for large scale-tasks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining architectures, including databases and large-scale processing systems. They will also be expected to recommend and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. This role requires a high level of creativity and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements :

• 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer using proven, industry-leading cloud platforms, specifically within AWS.
• Proficiency in Python using Pandas Dataframes.
• Experience developing sophisticated data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes and using Kubernetes within Apache Airflow for large scale tasks.
• Experience with UI work using Python frameworks like Streamlit, Flask or similar.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to conduct independent work and manage projects from beginning to end.

NYC Salary range : $115,000 - $140,000
