Job Summary/Basic Function
The Browning Center for the Performing Arts is looking for spirited community members to work alongside students as Ushers, Greeters and Valet Attendants for Browning Center events. Position hours are dictated by performances at the Browning Center with most hours of work, not all, between 5:00pm and 10:00pm.
Community members will be encouraged to help students learn professional, social, and task oriented skills while on the job.
Employees will assist in arranging the lobby and setting up tables for events. Usher and greeters will take tickets and assist guest, answer event questions, help guide guest to seats or other areas of the building, seat late arrivals, assist with handicapped patron seating, cleaning after events and assist with the evacuation of guest during an emergency. Valet Attendants greet clients and help them from their vehicles, park vehicles in a nearby parking lot, and retrieve vehicles after performances. This position is an outdoor position and will require running between parked cars and the entrance of the Browning Center.
**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified to reapply.
