Job Description
Weber State University invites applications for an instructor position in the School of Computing to begin in Fall 2025. The School of Computing houses three programs: Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Network Management, and Web & User Experience.
Successful candidates will have duties that include teaching undergraduate-level courses in a variety of modalities and campuses, including but not limited to Face-to-Face, Virtual, and Online classes at the Ogden and Davis campus as well as some night classes, conducting some research and scholarship, participating in course and curriculum development, and providing service to the department, college, and the university.

Required Qualifications
To be eligible for an instructor appointment applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in the areas of Cybersecurity, Operating Systems, Databases, Cloud Computing, Data Networking, Linux Administration, Virtualization, Server Administration, Risk Management, Policy Creation and Enforcement, and Security Management.
Preference will also be given to candidates with university-level teaching experience and those with additional industry experience.
Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security , etc) are recommended.
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Seeking applicants who can effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English. They must also demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with students, staff, and faculty peers.
