Job Description
The Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing at Weber State University seeks innovative and enthusiastic faculty who have a passion for nursing and nursing education. This is a 12-month instructor position. Instructor positions are temporary appointments that are renewable by separate contract at the sole discretion of the University.
Job Duties
Teaching assignments are contingent upon qualifications and experience. Selected candidates will teach in the Associate Degree Nursing program. In addition, selected candidates may teach in a variety of modalities (face to face, online, lab, simulation, and/or clinical) and at various campus locations. All faculty are required to plan, implement, and elevate the existing curriculum.
Required Qualifications
Required:
- Master of Science in Nursing required by May 1, 2025. Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program (or related/equivalent).
- Active unencumbered state of Utah or compact state registered nurse or advanced practice registered nurse license.
- Basic technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Doctorate degree in nursing or related field.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to integrate technology in nursing education.
- Previous experience as a nurse educator.
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Clinical nursing experience in related areas of teaching.
- Demonstrated scholarship activities.
- Authored publications in peer-reviewed journals.
