Job Summary/Basic Function
The School of Nursing is seeking a qualified Lab/Simulation assistant to facilitate and manage operations that occur at various WSU Campus locations, which may include Ogden,Davis and WSU/BTech campus in Logan for the School of Nursing. This position will answer directly to the School of Nursing Lab/Simulation Director and Operations Manager under the direction of the School of Nursing Chair.
This position will be an hourly position. Hours will be flexible to oversee and facilitate all lab/simulation center operations, including, but not limited to, scheduling of lab usage, coordination of supplies, equipment and equipment maintenance. Supplies and equipment will need to be ordered as needed. This position will need to prepare the lab through set-up, between lab classes, for ongoing faculty support and for take down of the specific labs.
The position will work with the Lab/Simulation Director and Operations Manager to establish policy and guidelines in preparation for obtaining and maintaining accreditation. This position will also work with the Lab/Simulation Director and Operations Manager in establishing basic knowledge about how a Lab/Simulation center operates; from ordering supplies and equipment, usage of supplies and equipment and maintenance of supplies and equipment; to student and faculty facilitation and eventual evaluation of the centers outcomes.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Knowledge of national lab/simulation policy, standards and regulations.
Understanding in current and trending simulation technologies.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
Aptitude in resolving conflicts and issues.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Degree in health professions or systems technology preferred.
2. Certificate in simulation preferred.
3. CNA, MA, and/or medical terminology.

Physical Requirements of this position
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading., Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
