Job Summary/Basic Function
Position assists in facilitating and managing operations that occur at various WSU Campus locations for the School of Nursing. Duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Facilitate running of the assigned campus lab/simulation rooms for set-up, usage, and takedown.
  • Maintain lab/Simulation supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with the Lab/Simulation Operations Manager or Assistant
  • Promote a safe and effective learning environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Attend Lab/Simulation training meetings and other department meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of Audio-video recording and electronic medical records interface with lab/simulation activities.
  • Participate in technical training as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance of disposable inventory organization and initiate replacement/order needs.

Required Qualifications
Some college or post high school technical college education, or one year of experience working in a healthcare related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification
  • Experience with current computer technologies and video recording systems
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving conflicts and issues.

Physical Requirements of this position
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision.
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading., Required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as: operating machines, (i.e. lathes, drill presses, power saws) where the job is at or within arm’s reach; skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature, such as carpenter, plumber, mechanic. , Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. , Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
