Job Summary/Basic Function
Will provide math tutoring to students. This position provides one on one tutoring support to students in K-12 within Ogden School District.
This is a High Impact Educational Experience (HIEE) as defined by Weber State University. HIEEs help students understand the worlds in which they live and disciplinary approaches for analyzing those worlds. Possess the intellectual tools to construct knowledge, evaluate claims, solve problems and communicate effectively. Develop obligations to, and sustainable stewardship of, themselves, others, and the world to promote diversity, social justice, or personal and community well-being. Connect and apply learning in meaningful ways to new settings and complex problems. This experience is considered an academic opportunity, for which credit may or may not be granted based on the specific program. Though it will be tracked and payment may be made through the employment payment system of the university, this is not considered university employment for purposes of this program. In the event the student continues with the program thereafter, supervisors and students must continue to adhere to all guidelines regarding participation of students in training programs.
