If you have experience developing, editing, and/or reviewing medical content for a global audience and providing functional leadership for a team of medical directors/editors, we’d love to have you join our team! Medscape Education is seeking a motivated, adaptable, team-oriented Associate Director of Compliance to ensure adherence to CME/CE accreditation criteria and to support development of continuing medical education and interprofessional content published on Medscape.org. WHAT YOU’LL DO (RESPONSIBILITIES):

The Associate Director of Compliance is responsible for reviewing and developing CME/CE/CPD educational content within deadlines and with the highest quality. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with content development staff, including Medical Education Directors & Program Managers, throughout program development to ensure adherence to Joint Accreditation criteria (ACCME, ACPE, AAPA, ANCC) including ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education 
  • Provide compliance review of all supported activities and materials prior to posting to ensure independence, fair balance, scientific rigor, appropriateness for target audience, and compliance with accreditation criteria and standards
  • Create CME/CE-certified activities that are self-funded by Medscape, including review, edit, and/or write brief overviews of clinical relevance of the article and posttest questions as needed
  • Remain current on accreditation criteria and standards
  • Provide training, insight and guidance to other team members on department policies and best practices
  • Maintain friendly and productive relationships through clear articulation and an effective communication style with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement 
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (REQUIREMENTS):

  • Clinical degree (PA, MD, RN, NP, APRN, or PharmD)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience developing content in accordance with ACCME, ANCC ACPE, and/or Joint Accreditation continuing education requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience working as a clinician and/or in a medical education company, medical communications company, professional medical publisher, academic institution, and/or medical society or pharmaceutical company; online publishing preferred
  • Strong background in adult learning principles and curriculum design (alignment of objectives to content to assessment); CHCP credential preferred
  • Skilled in applying PhARMA, AdvaMed, FDA and OIG guidance on use of commercial support in continuing education
  • Advanced skill level in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Basic skill level in Gmail, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on shared networks/corporate applications (Workfront, Microsoft Teams)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment, while taking into consideration stakeholders based across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work in cross-functional internal teams 


Salary : $121,000 - $153,000
