Position Summary
The Inventory Control Team Leader is responsible for maintaining and organizing inventory within the warehouse. The Inventory Control Team Leader should have knowledge of product information, receiving, procedures, shipping procedures, and maintain a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Other responsibilities include leading the Inventory Control Put Away Team, in ensuring all incoming order picker stock and warehouse supplies are stocked at the highest desired level. As a member of the Inventory Control Leadership Team, you have primary responsibility of ensuring accuracy, efficiency, integrity, and transparency are upheld and multiplied throughout the team.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead assigned team to ensure duties are completed efficiently and effectively
- Follow up with Inventory Control team members to ensure tasks are completed without delay and per SOPs
- Investigate issues that are found by Inventory Control and other departments
- Ensure all queues (ICA, Expediting, and Replenishment) are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure cycle counts and adjustments are completed in a timely manner per SOP.
- Ensure all order picker stock put away are done according to first-in-first-out (FIFO) inventory system not to exceed 48 hours of being placed down the dead aisle
- Continually implement improvement techniques vetted through the Inventory Control Supervisor
- Train new employees in a uniform manner to ensure consistency
- Professionally communicate within the company to complete all assigned tasks
- Promote company culture and ensure standards are maintained
- Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety
- Work closely with management to ensure the highest quality of work is completed as required
- Maintain and continually assist in the development of all areas of the Inventory Control department
- Work closely with Receiving Leadership to assist in maximizing daily efficiency
- Ensure any coaching, on the spot corrections, and informal warnings are documented in the Employee Communication Log
- Additional tasks as assigned
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and OneDrive
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
- Must be proficient in using a personal computer and/or handheld device
- Understands effective leadership principles and promotes teamwork and productivity
- Proven track record of developing leadership skills
- Know the various members of the leadership team and what their roles are
- Must be able to maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.

Salary : $21 - $27
