Graphic Design Manager

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Graphic Design Manager who’s ready to lead and design. This role is for someone who takes ownership, sets high standards, and knows how to build a team that delivers consistently strong creative work. You'll combine hands-on design with team development, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Expect to manage priorities, improve workflows, and raise the quality bar while helping designers grow in their craft.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to brand strategy, uphold brand standards, and identify opportunities for improvement
• Act as a liaison between design and other departments to clarify requests and promote effective design solutions
• Manage and prioritize team workflow to ensure timely, high-quality output aligned with brand goals
• Track project progress, delegate tasks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Conduct internal reviews, critiques, and brainstorming sessions to elevate creative quality
• Develop and implement processes that improve productivity and support team well-being
• Foster a collaborative culture through open communication, feedback, and team development
• Support team growth through recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship
• Participate in hands-on design work as needed
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
  
  

Remote Work Qualifications

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Access to a home router and modem.
• A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
• A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
• The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience

• A solid design background with a portfolio showcasing relevant skills
• Experience in managing and mentoring a design team
• Ability to self-manage and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record in elevating design quality and guiding design strategies to fruition
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
  
  

Education

• Education in design or a related field is a plus, but proven experience and a strong portfolio matter more
