Outbound Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

The Outbound Material Handler is a critical role within our distribution center, responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate shipment of customer orders. This position requires a high level of efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and Packing: Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment.
• Order Consolidation: Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing.
• Packing and Shipping: Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience.
• Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards.
• Performance Metrics: Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required; High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate, and the passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
