The Managing Director (MD) of Resolution Planning will oversee the initial development and on-going management of Webster’s resolution plan. This position will work cross-functionally to coordinate the composition of the resolution plan, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, identify potential risks, design mitigation strategies, and prepare comprehensive documentation for submission to relevant stakeholders. Moreover, the MD will act as the subject matter expert on resolution planning within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the centralized resolution planning office responsible for overall program design and standard setting
Build a sustainable function that can manage resolution planning as a BAU activity in support of annual regulatory submission requirements.
Oversee and support the preparation of all resolution plan documentation and deliverables, including narrative components, financial projections, and supporting data for regulatory submissions
Collaborate with various internal stakeholders across business lines, risk management, legal, and finance to gather data, assess potential impacts, and incorporate their perspectives into the resolution plan.
Manage review and interpretation of regulatory requirements related to resolution planning, ensuring the firm's plan adheres to all applicable standards and guidelines.
Establish and maintain a credible capabilities testing framework

Experience
Project Leadership and Execution: Exceptional project management skills with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that require strong alignment and engagement.
Regulatory Familiarity: Knowledge of and/or experience with addressing regulatory requirements in a banking context, including but not limited to resolution planning, governance enhancements, or regulatory remediations.
Communication and Executive Presence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly to senior executives and external stakeholders. Demonstrated executive presence with the influence to drive behavioral change and project outcomes outside direct reporting lines.
This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with a strategic mindset, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to navigate the complexities of regulatory requirements while building a foundation for sustainable growth.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $165,000 USD to $185,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
