What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter/CAD Operator position at Webster Combustion Technology LLC?
Responsible for performing a variety of design/drafting tasks including the origination of and updates to existing engineered drawings for use in the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepares dimensional drawings, installation drawings, piping diagrams and general arrangement drawings
- Revise and update existing drawings reflecting any design changes
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if necessary
- Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment and manufactured items
- Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation in accordance with the document retention policies set by the Director of Engineering
- Maintain a working knowledge of all drafting functions including drafting software and other related software platforms
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in Drafting or related field
- Proficiency using Solidworks software platform a must
- Previous experience using AutoCad a must
- Proven experience using blueprints, technical drawings, and other related drafting resources
- Must have high attention to detail to produce accurate results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Must be able to work occasional overtime including evenings or Saturdays if required

Salary : $16 - $20
