Long Term Substitute needed for 1st Grade Elementary Teacher
Duration: November 1, 2024 - February 17, 2025 estimated
Webster Elementary School in Manchester School District is seeking qualified candidates for long term subsitute teaching coverage for First Grade.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students using school provided curriculum and tools.
- Continue and nurture a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity, needs, and interests of students.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, and in harmony with these goals, establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated objectives and assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis to provide progress reports as required.
- Assume all daily responsilibities of the position such as lunchroom duty, hall monitoring, recess duty, etc., and perform other related duties as directed by the principal or designee.
RATES OF PAY
NH DOE Certified applicants will be placed on the MEA salary scale they are eligable for as determined by District Administration and paid a per diem rate. There are no benefits that come with this position.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree preferred
- State of NH Teacher Certification in Elementary Education (1810 or 1811) or other approved endorsments may be considered
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check
- Must provide 3 References
- Must upload copies of transcripts college
- Experience working with children strongly preferred
