Major Areas of Accountability:
- Review categorized mail to prioritize materials and/or draft replies to correspondence, requests for information from professional staff and the community
- Make purchases, process purchase orders, correspond with vendors, and manage budgets for the Learning Department
- Make arrangements for conferences, retreats, and meetings for the Learning Department
- Register administrators and teachers for Professional Development workshops inside and outside of the district, including travel arrangements
- Assist the Learning Department with the formation of committees made up of district students, staff, and family members
- Answer phone calls/emails, take and route messages, and respond appropriately to requests for information
- Assist with the preparation, coordination, and scheduling of meetings and events as necessary
- Inventory and maintain the Learning Department's supplies and materials for multiple settings
- Schedule and maintain the Learning Department and Assistant Superintendent event calendars
- Perform all other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent for Learning
Qualifications:
- Extremely proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and specifics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with little direction
- Commitment to continued learning, reflection, and improvement, both personally and systemically
- Ability to set priorities to meet deadlines and work well under pressure with attention to detail
- Ability to interact positively with all aspects of the school district and community
- Ability to contribute to an inclusive climate and culture
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with applicable law and District policy
Education/Experience:
- Five years of administrative assistant experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
