Interim Assistant Director of Student Support Services, Inclusion and Equity

Webster Public Schools is seeking for an Interim Assistant Director of Student Support Services, Inclusion and Equity Responsibilities: The Director of Interim Assistant Director of Student Support Services Inclusion and Equity may perform all or a combination of several of the following duties: Engage all school stakeholders, including students, parents and caregivers, educators, and historically marginalized groups. Identify and communicate training that is needed to build positive school climates, support diversity initiatives and programs, and develop strategies to support historically marginalized people; ensure adherence the goals and timeline within the School Committees Anti-Discrimination Policy. Collaborate with the Curriculum Office, Curriculum Review Teams, and the Professional Development Committee to plan and facilitate professional development and to ensure that curriculum represents all marginalized people. Collaborate to ensure effective recruitment, hiring, retention, and support processes for educators and staff who identify within marginalized populations Work with people of diverse opinions and build consensus Support administrators and staff in analyzing data, identifying trends, and incorporating strategies to advance student and District priorities Support and guide District implementation of equitable discipline processes and restorative practices Collaborate with District Leadership to implement and refine assessment/survey tools that evaluate and audit school climates Collaborates with the superintendent, directors, principals and other district and building-based staff to develop and implement programs to ensure a high level of student achievement. Effectively communicates instructional programs, philosophies, beliefs and policies of the district to staff, students and the community. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the superintendent may assign from time to time
