Job Summary
Demonstrate sound judgement and provide geospatial support consistent with department expectations for the real estate group. Responsible for geospatial services and consultation to support regulated, non-regulated business units as well as internal and external customers. Utilizing technical expertise and interpersonal skills to complete work within budgets and scope.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the geospatial aspects of land and land rights acquisition, as well as the engineering, design, development implementation and / or construction of a project. Assists with fieldwork as necessary.
- Responsible for researching projects, contacting land owners or governmental entities. Processes data collected in the field, checks for errors in data, generates line work needed for maps. Reviews record documents and computes any line work needed for Company deliverables. Proficient and skilled with CAD based drafting software needed to generate maps and deliverables needed for projects. Assists with correspondence including project status updates, contacting individuals within the office and attending meetings.
- Responsible for execution of project scope-of-work pertaining to projects, documentation of work performed, compliance to state and local law pertaining to real estate principles and accepted practices. Responsible for mapping and drafting of land boundary descriptions for parcel exchanges and easement / permit acquisitions.
- Promotes real estate services and competencies to internal and external customers.
- Assist in the investigation and review of new equipment, procedures and governmental legislation pertaining to real estate.
