What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Maintenance Technician position at WEC Rentals?
Local rental property company is seeking for a skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced General Maintenance Technician in Prairie du Chien to work independently and help with maintenance requests from tenants on a part-time to full-time basis. Basic troubleshooting knowledge includes: changing a hot water tank, light electrical, basic plumbing issues, etc.
*General Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-5pm, but possible weekend hours due to maintenance emergencies*
~2-6 years related experience preferred.
*This is a 1099 contractor position.
General repairs and maintenance requests include (but not limited to):
- Respond to maintenance emergencies such as: diagnosing plumbing problems, furnace issues, lockout calls, changing out hot water tank, etc.
- Light plumbing (ie. faucet leaks, etc.)
- General Electrical work
- Inside Painting between tenants
- Some snow removal on a couple commercial properties/small businesses (ie. run a snow plow on a truck or a walk behind snowblower - seasonal)
- General landscaping/yard work (ie. clear brush, mow small lawns - seasonal)
- Overall general upkeep of all properties owned by owner
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Ability to diagnose general maintenance issues/Strong troubleshooting skills
- Dependable independent worker
- Valid driver's license
- Pick-Up truck or ability to haul tools and light equipment
- Own some basic tools
- Knowledge in property maintenance
- Mechanically inclined
- General knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing
- Capable of physical labor
- Good customer service attitude
- Good communication
- Detailed-oriented
- Reliable/Dependable
- Accountable/Responsible
*Pay based on performance and experience*
