What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Traditional position at WeCare?

As a PCA worker, you will provide assistance to clients in everyday tasks, self-care, meal prep, light cleaning and companionship. WeCare provides services to a diverse population both young and old, spanning every culture and ethnicity. WeCare is looking to fill full-time opportunities in and around the St Cloud, MN area. As a PCA worker you must meet employment requirements and requirements specific to providing services. The PCA Worker must complete the DHS required certification testing and be enrolled with DHS as an Individual MHCP PCA provider after passing a background study.
Requirements:As a PCA worker, you are responsible for the following:
- Complete trainings and orientation on the needs of the person receiving services
- Communicate effectively with the person and WeCare Home Health
- Provide covered PCA services according to the person’s care plan
- Respond appropriately to the person’s needs
- Report changes in the person’s condition to the Qualified Professional
- Document time and activities provided to client daily on timesheets
- Submit timesheets to provider agency by the indicated deadlines
- Be supervised by the Qualified Professional
- Have a valid driver's license and in good standing
- Highschool Graduate or Equivalent
- Be available during the hours of 7am - 7pm, 7 days a week (Schedules vary)
- Flexibility to take on more than 1 client as assignment deems necessary
- Be comfortable with technology and reporting applications as needed
- Clear a MN DHS background study
