What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Associate - Pool Store position at Wechsler Pool & Supply?
Our Wechsler Pool Supply division has an opening for a customer oriented person to help in our busy Monticello, NY pool supply store. Answer phones, take customer orders for liquid chlorine deliveries and service, help staff at the busy retail counter helping customers, order supplies from our great vendors. Fast & furious for a few months, help run our team of seasonal employees in the store and give great service! Great opportunity for a college student.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency in retail sales and cash handling
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Experience with stocking and merchandising
- Familiarity with POS systems
Winter shift over to our propane / heating oil side for customer service activities or Holiday Mountain. Higher salary range commensurate with knowledge/experience. Never a lay-off, we’re busy all year! Family owned company and Wechsler’s been servicing pools in the Catskills since 1934.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and product selections.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and manage cash register operations.
- Stock shelves and maintain store displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
- Utilize basic math skills for pricing and inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance merchandising efforts and promote sales.
Must be able to pass able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
