Reports to: Shipping Supervisor
Job Description: This position is responsible for packing and shipping all finished products for delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all shipping documents and functions are completed accurately and on time.
- Prepare outgoing packages for shipment utilizing UPS, Fed-Ex and other delivery services.
- Ensure that orders are completed and the proper labels and paperwork have been applied.
- Screen for obvious damage on parts.
- Verify any discrepancies in quantity.
- Operate stretch wrap banders and building pallets for shipments.
- Operates dolly, pallet jack to loading and unloading material/products.
- Strong attention to details with a focus on accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related hands-on experience in a shipping role for manufacturing.
- Computer experience skills.
- Good interpersonal skills required.
- Warehouse or forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat and stand working up to 10 hrs. a day. Ability to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50
- -60lbs.
- Have a valid Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; perform work independently without being prompted as well as contributing to a team effort.
