Job Description: Accounting Associate
Reports To: Controller
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret customer contracts for relevant billing information in order to process and customize accurate customer invoices.
- Interact with various internal personnel as well as customers to research and resolve any billing issues / disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in managing the general ledger.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Work on special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or related capacity preferred.
- 2 years in an accounting role, preference will be given to billing and/or government contracting experience.
- Experience with WAWF a huge plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications, especially Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and analytical problem solving.
- Sound and consistent business judgment, a good grasp of Company priorities and a sense of urgency.
- High level of enthusiasm, with a keen customer focus and the ability to remain flexible to meet internal and external needs.
