SUMMARY: The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the pool deck, enforcing regulations, preventing accidents, and performing rescues, all the while ensuring that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained.

SUMMARY: The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the pool deck, enforcing regulations, preventing accidents, and performing rescues, all the while ensuring that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Supervise the pool deck, enforce regulations, help prevent accidents, and perform rescues.
- Ensure that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained.
- Assist with daily pool maintenance and operations.
- Manage the swimming pool cleaning schedule, perform daily inspections, and keep accurate pool records.
- Attend staff meetings and service training programs as directed.
- Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and help monitor member feedback.
- Maintain constant surveillance of members within the pool facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of all members in the event of emergency.
- Follow emergency protocols as required until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services.
- Report any incident or accident to the Vistas Management team on duty.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess strong customer service skills and work ethic, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be efficient, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, well organized, detail-oriented, pro-active, and have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to show initiative by suggesting ways to make processes and/or member services better.
- Some Lifeguarding experience preferred
- Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age, a signed Worker's Permit will be required upon hire.
- The following certifications are required (or be willing to be certified at RHCC):
- CPR Certification
- First-Aid Certification
- Lifeguard Certification
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to intense and/or full sunlight
- Ability to work outdoors, and in many weather conditions
