POSITION: POOL ATTENDANT
CATEGORY: NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: The Pool Attendant ensures that the Aquatics Center will provide a safe and enjoyable member experience. The Pool Attendant will deliver the ultimate in customer service by welcoming and attending to members promptly and regularly, enforcing safety rules, and managing guest fees, pool equipment, and facilities, all to ensure members and their guests enjoy their time at the pool. This is a seasonal position, providing employment only from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Pool Attendant will deliver the ultimate in customer service by welcoming and attending to members promptly and regularly, enforcing safety rules, and managing guest fees, pool equipment, and facilities, all to ensure members and their guests enjoy their time at the pool. This is a seasonal position, providing employment only from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Ensure that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained by delivering the ultimate customer service experience
- Welcome members and guests and ensure their safety and comfort.
- Set up umbrellas, loungers, towels, and pool furniture; clear used towels, glasses, and trash.
- Ensure that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe.
- Enforce safety protocols as set out by the club.
- Report any damages or incidents to the Vistas Management team.
- Follow emergency protocols as required until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Seasonal position - ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays - from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
- Possess strong customer service skills and work ethic, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong swimming abilities.
- Possess sufficient knowledge of pool equipment
- Be efficient, energetic, enthusiastic, friendly, well organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Ability to show initiative by suggesting ways to make processes and/or member services better.
- 1 years' experience, in a hospitality setting preferred
- Experience working with children helpful
- Must be at least 16 years of age. If under 18 years of age, a signed Worker's Permit will be required upon hire.
- The following certifications are required (or be willing to be certified at RHCC):
- CPR Certification
- First-Aid Certification
- AED Certification
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to move and lift heavy furniture and equipment.
- Frequent exposure to intense and/or full sunlight
- Ability to work outdoors, and in many weather conditions
