Job Description:
Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Wedgewood is seeking a professional, friendly, and reliable Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for many residents, visitors, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming environment while supporting various administrative functions.
Responsibilities include:
Answer telephones, determine the nature of calls, and direct callers to the appropriate individuals or departments.
Assist department directors with administrative tasks such as typing reports and correspondence.
Perform general clerical duties including filing, posting accounts, and supporting payroll when needed.
Greet visitors and guide them to the appropriate offices or resident rooms.
Issue and collect visitor identification badges.
Maintain updated files/lists of residents, emergency contact numbers, department extensions, and key personnel.
Manage and track important dates for contracts, renewals, and administrative deadlines.
Operate office equipment such as copiers, phone systems, and paging systems.
Order and track supplies according to facility protocols and budgets.
Provide directions and general information to visitors, residents, and vendors.
Assist with inter-facility communication and distribute mail as needed.
Ensure office supplies are restocked and equipment repairs are requested as necessary.
Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and make independent decisions when needed.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff, and the public.
Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures.
Cheerful and professional demeanor with a team-oriented attitude.
Commitment to minimizing waste and maintaining efficient operations.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one (1) year of clerical experience or completion of a secretarial science program from an accredited school/college.
