As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) at Wedgewood Healthcare Center, you will be responsible for:
- Set up and administer medications in accordance with physician's orders and state/federal regulations
- Charting – routine medications, medication omissions, documentation of PRN medication given with follow-up, and any other pertinent observations
- Maintain inventory of medications and account for controlled drugs each shift
- Rounds with nurse and physician and prepares monthly medication records
- Provide personal care and treatment functions for residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter such a program within 120 days from date of employment
- Ability to perform basic math functions and understand resident care procedures and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
