What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Technician position at Wedgewood Pharmacy LLC?
The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment and air handling systems for clean room manufacturing and office spaces and coordinating the maintenance and repair of HVAC or manufacturing equipment by contractors. The person in this role will bring good documentation skills and help in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in this FDA regulated environment.
This position is customer-based with a focus on providing a safe, efficient and comfortable working environment for Wedgewood employees.

What you’ll do:
- Follow the Work Order system to address facilities related tasks in a compliant, safe, and timely manner.
- Repairs and maintains in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment such as HVAC, tablet machine, refrigeration, water purification systems, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose/repair electrical, mechanical, and controls issues
- Maintain calibrated and certified equipment by coordinating activities with vendors.
- Use the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and troubleshoot the controlled environments.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain spare parts inventory as required.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in safety & EH&S programs.
- Able to work overtime or weekends, on occasion, per maintenance scheduling and participates in on-call rotation.
- Will initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Will author and/or revise preventive maintenance procedures.
- Assist with renovations, equipment moves, equipment installations, and construction.
- Interact with third party service vendors and ensure the work is completed safely and correctly.

- Knowledge of machine and building functionality including mechanical, motors, instrumentation, electrical circuits, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, PLCs and others
- Ability to troubleshoot a variety of machines and building systems quickly and correctly.
- Work with a variety of teams to meet the best desired outcome in a professional, positive manner.
- Working independently, prioritize a variety of requests in a timely manner focusing on minimal loss of production time.
- Able to work in work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.
- Results orientation.
- Microsoft Office skills are essential, proficient in the use of spreadsheets and word processing programs
What you’ve done:
- Demonstrated the ability to follow SOPs and detailed work instructions while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills
- Obtained a high School Diploma. Additional technical education would be preferred such as HVAC certifications.
- Worked with a facility work order system.
- Developed strong communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a technical role.
