What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at Wedgewood Pharmacy LLC?

When will you work?
- Monday- Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm. Must be able to commute to Chandler, AZ. (Please note we will be relocating from Scottsdale to Chandler, AZ before the end of the year)
What you’ll do:
- Collect and compile statistical quality data
- Prepare reports and Performance Improvement documents
- Maintain employee files with all required documentation
- Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Prepare, submit, and review results from technician validation samples
- Sample submission to third-party analytical laboratories for testing as required
- Track compounding equipment calibration and maintenance
Who you are:
- You have knowledge of computers and related software including spreadsheets, word processing, email, basic databases, and Windows operating systems
- You pay attention to detail and have the ability to work in an organized fashion
- Have the ability to evaluate situations and make basic decisions based on referencing established criteria and determining if the information falls within designated parameters
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to document basic observations
- You think and act independently while knowing when to include others in decisions
- You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and timeline-driven environment with shifting priorities
What you’ve done:
- High school graduate/equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific study preferred
- Undergraduate scientific coursework a plus
- 1 – 2 years relevant work experience preferred
- Registered with the state of Arizona as a pharmacy technician
- Extended periods of standing and walking
- Have lifting, twisting, reaching, kneeling, and physical effort (including lifting/moving up to 50 pounds with equipment or assistance as needed)
- Ability to keep records and prepare simple reports
- Occasionally vary the work hours (or work overtime) as required by business needs
