What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Operations Intern position at Wedgewood Pharmacy?

When will you work?
This internship will work onsite in our Swedesboro, NJ facility. The hours are flexible for the position (20 hours / week), with the ideal working hours of Monday- Friday in 4-hour blocks, or 4 days a week in 5-6-hour blocks.
What you’ll do :
Work directly in the operation of the non-compounding commercial pharmacy
Collaborate with cross functional teams across the organization to simplify and harmonize procedures, and policies
Perform receiving and put-away of inventory
Collaborate with supply chain team to drive down backlogs of expired goods
Work on special projects, i.e. automation projects
Provide metrics data for weekly operations metrics reporting
Attend necessary meetings
Work with operation leaders to create improved metrics reporting and update regularly
Learn the day to day operations of a non-compounding pharmacy

What you’ve done :
Enrolled in college / university in a related field such as : engineering, business administration, science based degrees, etc.
