What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance position at Wedgewood Weddings?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance & Groundskeeper to join our team who will be responsible for the weekly upkeep of our Spencer, MA location. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks as needed to ensure the proper functioning of our facilities as well as continuous upkeep of our grounds. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Effective verbal and written communication with peers, managers, and outside vendors to convey technical data and needs.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Competence in repairing flooring, drywall, kitchen appliances, and troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, landscape, painting, carpentry and irrigation system.
- Computer/technology skills for job clock-ins, processing service requests, and submitting credit card reimbursements.
- Conduct routine inspection of building, grounds and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain grounds landscaping to include mowing, raking, weed eating, trimming, water & fertilize plants.
- Promptly respond to service requests from staff and tenants.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various systems and equipment.
- Customer service-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
- Fabricate and install fixtures, furniture, and other items as needed.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with using landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and weed eater.
Job Conditions:
- Occasionally work on weekends.
- Need reliable transportation.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Certificates in electrical or mechanical trades or related fields preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
