Job Description:
- Starting, monitoring, and regulating plant processing equipment within the company guidelines and safety standards
- Adjusting equipment programming (through Kahler) to maximize production
- Maintaining daily production reports and exchanges relevant information with others daily
- Monitoring/Maintaining/Working load out area and operates mobile equipment as needed
- Conducting pre-shift equipment/plant inspections and completes required paperwork accurately
- Aiding in plant operation and repairs to plant equipment
- Maintaining housekeeping in areas of responsibility
- Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
Skills:
- Experience in fertilizer industry (preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position

- Experience operating equipment including but not limited to a skid steer, front-end loader, forklift, etc.
Are required to be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting work. Heavy lifting is generally described as 50 pounds repetitively being lifted with maximum lifting being up to 100 pounds. They must be able to reach above their head to lift, tighten, clean, carry, paint and grease, etc. The workload requires repetitive neck, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, leg, knee, ankle, back and abdomen motion. They also have to be able to climb, carry, lift, hold, crawl, bend, reach, twist, stand, walk, sit, drive, pull, push, squat, sweep, squeeze, grip, hold and shovel. The reading, writing, and understanding of the English language is critical to safety of the employee and others around him/her. Must be able to tolerate an un-air-conditioned, hot, dusty, fast paced environment without the fear of heights or ladders. They should be agile, flexible, and limber. They must be able to tolerate heat, cold, and exposure to the elements including dusty environment. They must be able to wear a respirator including but not limited to N95 Mask, half face respirators, and full-face respirators. (Please note there is an OSHA defined process of medical questionnaires and fit testing that will be involved.) Due to the nature of the business, all production and maintenance crew members should be able to report and work any day and any hour.
