A Driver (Non-CDL) for WeDriveU drives a non-commercial vehicle(s) following safety protocol, schedules, pre-determined routes to transport corporate employees between various stops.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Exceptional attendance and punctuality.
- Accurately complete vehicle safety checks and escalate any issues.
- Compliance with all traffic laws, and federal and state transit regulations.
- Interact with customers and our central dispatch team and managers in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to all riders, i.e., answer questions about schedules, routes, transfer points, and delays.
- Promptly report vehicle maintenance, road and route concerns, accidents, and other traffic disruptions using two-way radios or hands-free devices.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may apply.
- Use route navigation apps, and other technology, including knowledge of area to pick up and drop off our customers.
- Maintain electronic logs to track routes and incidents.
- Ability to safely operate and drive without a break for a minimum period of one hour and forty-five minutes
- Ability to drive in fluctuating weather and terrain.
- Flexible scheduled to work outside of regular days and shifts.
- Comfortable working a split shift schedule
- Ability to lift 45 pounds or more to assist with loading and unloading ADA passengers
- Additional skills and physical demands may apply.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- At least 1 year of driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Passenger endorsement required
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
- DPU certification required
