What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Supervisor position at WeDriveU?
Job Description:
The Yard Supervisor will report to the General Manager and is responsible for the administration and coordinator of the organization’s fleet of motor vehicles, support compliance with government rules and regulations and manage databases and required paperwork in support of fleet maintenance as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct vehicle inspections with drivers for safety, Department of Transportation, and program specific compliance.
- Assist with quarterly vehicle appearance audits.
- Assist with vendor performance auditing/score cards (conduct random audits)
- Work closely with the onsite fueling vendors and cleaning vendors as needed for guidance.
- Submit daily reports to key stakeholders of yard activities.
- Report and escalate all issues and concerns with the fleet, the vendors, the drivers, and/or yard to management.
- Manage DVIR and organize DVIR checks –ensure drivers are handing them in daily.
- Work with General manager and maintenance vendors on DVIR write ups and necessary repair scheduling
- Assist drivers with troubleshooting vehicle and equipment issues (Tripshot from devices)
- Assist drivers with route signage as needed.
- Enforce yard rules for cleanliness and utility/performance.
- Maintain yard office supply inventories, organization and cleanliness.
- Work closely with the Dispatch team to provide general support.
- As requested, assist in documenting incident damage with proper photos during daylight hours reporting back to the Operations Manager
- Assist in CHP initiated inspections as needed.
- Support drivers on Kronos app

Skills Required and Physical Demands:
- Must be a people person with a great attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Must be detailed oriented and organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to complete a simple report on a weekly basis.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to various tasks as they are assigned.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products (Word, Excel, Outlook & SharePoint)

Education and Qualifications:
