Summary

Wee Burn is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Swim Coach to join our team for the summer season.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of swimming techniques and a desire to work with athletes of varying skill levels.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Swim Coach will support the Head Coach with the following

• Running effective practices
• Developing swimmers’ abilities
• Run swim meets
• Create meet lineups
• Creating a positive team atmosphere.
• Assisting the Head Coach in conducting daily swim practices Monday-Friday
• Conducting pre-team practice for Wee Burn’s Beach Camp
• Conducting private lessons as requested by members
• Engage with membership appropriately, including the children

Additional INFO:

• This job is a 10 week commitment. We run preseason practice Monday-Thursday from 4:00-5:00pm starting the first week of June. The season ends 8/9.
• During the regular season (once public schools are released for summer) practices run Monday-Friday 9:00-3:00 Practice times are subject to change
• Coaches will also give private lessons for members, regardless of if the child is on the swim team or not.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE BELOW RED CROSS CERTIFICATIONS

• Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid
